Program Description
The Business Administration AAS degree prepares students to enter the workplace with skills in a variety of areas. The School of Business offers Certificates of Proficiency (CP) in the following areas:

  • Business
  • Accounting
  • Computer Science and Information Systems
  • Culinary Arts
  • Finance
  • Management
  • Marketing

General Education 14 credits + Business Basics CP 16 credits + Essential CP 16 credits + Specialized CP minimum 16 credits = General Business AAS minimum 63 credits

Note: Students may also choose other CPs offered by the college with prior approval from the Associate Dean of the Management and Marketing Division in the School of Business.

Career Opportunities
With a degree in business administration, students have had exposure to a broad range of business related subjects such as accounting, sales, management, economics, finance, and marketing. Graduates are qualified for entry-level positions in many of these varied professions.

Transfer/Articulation Information
This is a 2-year terminal degree not designed to transfer. Several courses are transferable to other institutions. Students should check with a business advisor or the receiving institution to determine credit transferability.

Choose 2 additional Certificates of Proficiency from the list provided.
Additional electives courses are only needed if the student has met all course requirements but has not met the 63 credit requirement to complete the AAS degree.

Students may also choose other CPs offered by the college with prior approval from the Associate Dean of the Management and Marketing Division in the School of Business.

Time to Completion & Graduation Map


  • Business Administration AAS: Full-time  
  • Time to completion is 4 semesters based on a full-time minimum of 16 credits per semester. Less than 16 credits per semester will increase time to completion.
  • Students who need to take preparatory classes or prerequisites to meet the requirements of a course should plan on extra time to complete the program.
