Program Description

The Gail Miller Business School offers an Associate of Science degree tailored for students aiming to transfer to four-year institutions within the Utah System of Higher Education. This program provides a solid foundation in essential business principles, equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in further academic pursuits and in the dynamic field of business.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the Associate of Science degree in Business are well-prepared to continue their education at four-year institutions, ultimately pursuing bachelor’s degrees in various business disciplines.

Students seeking immediate employment in the business field may also explore the school’s Certificate and Associate of Applied Science degrees, which are designed for direct entry into the workforce. Potential career paths for graduates include roles in retail management, sales, customer service, and administrative support.

RECOMMENDED:

Quantitative Literacy (QL): MATH 1050 College Algebra (QL)   or MATH 1090 - College Algebra-Business (QL)  is the recommended Quantitative Literacy course, as one of them is required for transfer to most of our transfer partners. MATH 1090 is preferred for students who have not already received credit for MATH 1050.

Social Science (SS): ECON 2020 - Principles of Macroeconomics (SS)  is the recommended Social Science course, as it is required for transfer to some of our transfer partners.

 

A course with a General Education designation can be applied as General Education credit OR business program credit, but not both.
