Student Services and Resources


SLCC academic advisors are available to help students identify their educational and career goals, advise students about their pathway of study, and work with students to create academic plans that lead to successful completion of a degree or certificate to transfer or enter the workforce. Accessibility & Disability Services

Accessibility & Disability Services (ADS) facilitates inclusion and equal access for all students by providing a variety of individualized accommodations and resources, including applying for admission, classroom-related assignments, campus event access, and more.  ADS also provides accommodations for pregnancy-related conditions. Admissions

SLCC admissions advisors provide information on enrollment steps, academic programs, paying for college, and transfer options to prospective students, family members, high school counselors and community partners.  The Admissions Office also oversees the processing of applications for admission, state residency classification requirements, and the Western Undergraduate Exchange Program. Bookstore

Bridge Program

SLCC’s Summer Bridge Program offers selected students an 8-week experience that includes free summer tuition, financial support, and guidance from dedicated staff and faculty. Participants take English 1010 and a student success Math course. Those who complete the program are admitted to the Bruin Scholars Program and receive continued support throughout their time at SLCC. Visit Bridge Program for more information.

Bruin Scholars Program

The Bruin Scholars Program focuses on student success through personalized guidance, academic and social activities, and robust support for university transfer and career preparation.  This program is for students who graduated from the High School PACE program and students who have experienced foster care.  Visit Bruin Scholars for more information.

Campus Recreation

Campus Recreation enhances student/faculty/staff health, well-being, and belonging.  Recreation facilities at the Redwood campus include a basketball gym, pickleball courts, weight and cardio rooms, nap room, kickboxing room, reformer studio, indoor track, and a dance room.  The South City and Jordan campuses each have workout rooms with weight and cardio equipment.  SLCC Campus Rec also provides programs designed to encourage physically active lifestyles to improve quality of life, mental health, feelings of well-being and mental acuity, including:

Concurrent Enrollment

The SLCC Concurrent Enrollment (CE) Department partners with high schools and SLCC academic departments to build a comprehensive college experience for motivated and academically prepared high school students. Engaged Learning Office

Dive into community-engaged learning (formerly service-learning) and link your coursework with service, meeting both community needs and your learning goals.  Gain honors distinction through the Civically Engaged Scholars program. Plus, you can enjoy exciting, credit-bearing experiences through study abroad where you can travel internationally as part of your academic journey.  We also offer financial help, including scholarships, grants, and tuition waivers. Financial Aid

SLCC’s Financial Aid Office educates students on the types of financial aid available and assists students in completing the free application for federal student aid (FAFSA) and informs them of the requirements to keep financial aid. Students may also learn about non-Title IV aid sources of funding, such as scholarships, tuition waiver programs and the SLCC Promise Program. International Student Services

International Student Services offers a wide variety of services and programs to international students at Salt Lake Community College. We are your headquarters for immigration advising, personal support, academic support, cultural adjustment, and provide opportunities for friendship and leadership. We present a special international orientation at the beginning of each semester which introduces new students to the immigration regulations, the U.S. educational system, Salt Lake Community College resources, and cross-cultural differences. MySuccess

MySuccess, powered by Navigate360, helps students navigate SLCC by connecting them to their campus community. Through MySuccess, students can schedule appointments with campus services, view their course schedules, raise their virtual hand when they need support, and receive messages about SLCC resources, events, and course updates. Office of the Registrar and Academic Records

The Office of the Registrar and Academic Records (ORAR) ensures the integrity, compliance, and stewardship of academic data across Salt Lake Community College. ORAR supports institutional effectiveness and student success by managing registration, records, graduation, transfer credit, transcript services, and regulatory reporting for all academic, technical, and workforce education programs serving students, faculty, staff, and external partners. One Card

The OneCard Office provides school identification and specialty cards to staff, faculty, students, and community members giving them unique access to a wide variety of college facilities and events. Orientation and Transition

Orientation and Transition supports students’ onboarding to SLCC, helping them seamlessly integrate into the campus community. We kick off each academic year with Bruin Bash, a free event for students and their families to celebrate the new school year. Unsure about the class registration process? We offer Virtual Registration Assistance throughout the year. During the Fall and Spring semesters, we host Mega Resource Fairs to connect students to campus and community resources. STEM Learning

Our goal in STEM Learning is to help students build self-confidence, promote critical thinking skills, and encourage active learning in STEM courses. We are committed to preparing students to reach their full potential as individuals and members of our community. We offer the following services:

Student Writing & Reading Center

The SLCC Student Writing & Reading Center helps you to succeed as a student by helping you to improve as a writer and a reader. We offer free, in-person and online consultations for all SLCC students enrolled in any class. We also have a variety of literacy resources for students and teachers. Thayne Center for Student Life, Leadership, & Community Engagement

Thayne Center connects students to community, resources, and programs that cultivate empowerment, leadership, and social change. We are your one-stop shop for involvement including 65 peer leader roles, volunteer and service opportunities, basic needs resources, and more. Thayne Center is also home to the SLCC Student Association, Clubs, and Bruin Pantry’s five locations (Taylorsville, South City, Jordan, West Valley, and Herriman).
