TESL 1165 - Level 1 Pronunciation

In this Level 1 (A1) course, students build a solid foundation in English pronunciation. Students learn to recognize and articulate the sounds of the English alphabet and basic vowels, apply key pronunciation and spelling rules, and practice syllable counting and stress. The course also covers basic intonation patterns, the natural rhythm of English, and features of connected speech.

Prerequisite: Appropriate SLCC placement or instructor approval.
