SW 2890 - Crisis Intervention Credits: 3 This course introduces students to theoretical frameworks and evidence-based approaches for crisis assessment and intervention. Students will gain practical skills to address acute distress, mental health crises, and traumatic events. Students will learn non-therapeutic de-escalation strategies, skills for client stabilization, warm transfers, and coordination and continuity of care.
