GEOG 2500 - Introduction to Geographic Information Systems Credits: 4 Introduces students to geographic information systems (GIS) for scientific analysis and decision-making. Topics include datums, coordinate systems and projections, vector and raster data, data acquisition and uncertainty, geodatabases, cartography, data sources, geocoding, geoprocessing, and related legal, economic, and ethical issues.
