SPN 1010 - First Semester Spanish

First Semester Spanish is for those with no prior knowledge of Spanish. This course help students communicate about themselves, their communities, and other familiar topics, while developing Spanish reading, writing, and listening skills. In this task-based course, students learn through conversations, role-plays, and discussions of sociopolitical issues in the Spanish-speaking world.

Registration Restrictions: Students with prior experience in the target language must take a placement test to determine their eligibility for SPN 1010.
