Plan of Study

The following is a plan of requirements to complete this Academic Certificate in 1 year. Each student’s experience will vary slightly, as this plan does not include transfer work, Advanced Placement (AP), or other institutions’ concurrent enrollment credits. Math and English placement will be based on the student’s appropriate placement scores. If developmental courses are required, they should be taken in the student’s first semester.

NOTE: This plan assumes the student is prepared to take the courses listed. If prerequisites are required, additional semesters may be required to complete this degree.

Advising Notes

Students must complete three required pre-requisite courses with a minimum of a “C” grade, prior to beginning the first semester of the SLCC SUDC program:

  1. ENG 1010  2) PSY1010  3) SW2100 OR FHS 1500 OR PSY 1100)

Students may not complete SW2960-SUDC Internship during the first semester in the SUDC without prior approval, as SW2715 and SW2910 must successfully be completed with a minimum of a “C” grade or better, prior to beginning the internship.

Students must complete SW2960-SUDC Internship over the course of two semesters (e.g., 2-credits in spring and 2-credits in summer).  SW2960-SUDC Internship may be completed in one semester (e.g., 4-credits in spring or summer) with prior approval.
