Plan of Study

The following is a plan of requirements to complete this Associate of Applied Science degree in 2 years. Each student’s experience will vary slightly, as this plan does not include transfer work, Advanced Placement (AP), or other institutions’ concurrent enrollment credits. Math and English placement will be based on the student’s appropriate placement scores. If developmental courses are required, they should be taken in the student’s first semester.

Advising Notes

  • The Business Management AAS is primarily intended to prepare students for entry-level careers. It is not intended to be a transfer degree. Students planning to transfer to a bachelor’s degree program should explore the AS and AA degree options offered at the Gail Miller Business School.

  • A course with a General Education designation can be applied to either General Education or Business Management program requirements, but not both.

  • A student who takes a 2-credit course to meet the HR General Education requirement will need 1 additional credit to meet the total 60 credits required for the AAS. This credit can be earned by exceeding required Program Specific Electives by 1 credit, or by completing 1 credit in any course.
