Plan of Study

The following is a plan of requirements to complete this Associate of Arts degree in two years. Each student’s experience will vary slightly, as this plan does not include transfer work, Advanced Placement (AP), or other institutions’ concurrent enrollment credits. Math and English placement will be based on the student’s appropriate placement scores. If developmental courses are required, they should be taken in the student’s first semester.

NOTE: This plan assumes the student is prepared to take the courses listed. If prerequisites are required, additional semesters may be required to complete this degree.

Meet with the Academic Program Advisor and consult DegreeWorks for specific degree requirements.

Advising Notes

Choosing General Education Courses

  • A course with a General Education designation can be applied as General Education credit OR business program credit, but not both.
  • ECON 2020 Principles of Macroeconomics (SS) is the recommended Social Science course, as it is required for transfer to some of our transfer partners.
  • MATH 1050 College Algebra (QL) or MATH 1090 College Algebra-Business (QL) is the recommended Quantitative Literacy course, as one of them is required for transfer to most of our transfer partners. MATH 1090 is preferred for students who have not already received credit for MATH 1050.

Choosing Business AA Program Electives

  • Choose program electives based on the requirements of your intended transfer institution. Your Gail Miller Business School Academic Advisor can help you.
