Program Description: This degree is recommended for students who plan to transfer to four-year colleges. Completion of the Associate of Science degree with a Health Sciences emphasis does not affect the professional status, certification or licensure of graduates of associate of applied science degree programs in the Health Sciences Division.
Note: This degree is designed for students already accepted into other Health Sciences programs. It allows for courses already required to achieve a specific Associate of Applied Science degree to be combined with additional courses to earn an Associate of Science degree.
Career Opportunities: Please refer to specific information under the Health Sciences AAS degree options.
Transfer/Articulation Information: Admission into a major program at a transfer institution is solely determined by the transfer institution. Some major programs are restricted and require special application as well as a competitive GPA. See an Academic Advisor at both SLCC and the intended transfer institution for specific articulation information.
Entry Requirements: Students must be accepted into one of the Health Sciences programs that offers an Associate of Applied (AAS) Science degree.
Estimated Cost for Students: Cost of AAS degree courses plus tuition, fees and books for remainder of General Education Requirements.
