Program Description: The Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technology provides the student with a solid foundation in electronics theory, application as well as established and emerging technologies. This program is designed for students who intend to enter the work force after obtaining the AAS degree. Students will be prepared to operate, install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain and service electronic equipment and systems. The program has a solid core in electronics and advanced courses which continue to build upon the fundamentals. The courses emphasize mastery of theory as well as attainment of skills and competencies vital to workforce needs.
Career Opportunities: Students who complete an Associates of Applied Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology can pursue careers in many areas of research and development, space, defense, government, consumer electronics, biomedical. Examples of occupations include electronic installers and repairers, radio and telecommunications equipment installers and repairers, electronics development (R&D) technicians, electronics manufacturing and production technicians.
