MEEN 2140 - Strength of Materials

Credits: 2   |  Additional Course Fee Required
Internal forces in members, concept of stress and strain, axial loading, Hookes Law, torsion, pure bending, traverse loading, transformations of stress and strain, pressure vessels, beam deflection and column bending are discussed.

Prerequisite: MEEN 2010 ; MATH 2250  (can be taken concurrently)
Recommended Corequisite: MEEN 2145
