NURS 2300 - Medical Surgical Nursing II Credits: 7 This course focuses on the care of adult patients with medical and/or surgical health alterations. Emphasis is placed on the care of patients with alterations in selected body functions. Concepts of health promotion, health education, evidence based practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration will be integrated throughout the course. Clinical experiences provide the student an opportunity to apply theoretical concepts and implement safe care to patients and selected groups in a variety of settings.
Prerequisite: ENGL 1010 and completion of prerequisite courses, and admission to the program per established curriculum plan Semester: Fall & Spring Addition course fee required
