Interdisciplinary courses are designed to study topics from more than one disciplinary approach or framework. For practical reasons, colleges tend to divide study into categories, such as the ones listed above. In reality, all fields of study are connected. Interdisciplinary courses help make these connections apparent and enrich student understanding of the complexity of the world and our knowledge of it.
