Program Description: The Certificate of Proficiency in Management Essentials provides the unique skills needed for a student to begin in an entry level position in a business and quickly move into a supervisory or management role.
Career Opportunities:
Business managers often work very closely with business owners to monitor day-to-day business activities, assist with marketing the business and to hire, motivate and manage staff. Effective managers are equipped with the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to drive a business to success and profit with minimal resources and under the direction of the owner. For complete competence in Business Management, these courses should be complemented with other skill building courses. This Certificate of Proficiency may be used as a stackable credential for other Business AS or AAS degrees.
Estimated Cost for Students: In addition to SLCC tuition and fees http://www.slcc.edu/cashiering/tuitionfees.asp, the estimated cost of books is $300 per semester.
Estimated Time to Completion: Approximately one semester.
NOTE: This Certificate of Proficiency is not eligible for financial aid. However, courses within the certificate may be eligible if taken as part of a financial aid eligible program. The certificate is financial aid eligible, if you plan to stack it with other certificates, which will lead to a Certificate of Completion or AAS degree.
