Program Description: This program is dedicated to teaching light commercial and residential sustainable construction methods that address the green building & energy conservation demands of today. It is designed to provide students with a practical hands-on experience in the areas of building construction and interior finishes. It is designed to be a building block toward the Construction Management & Sustainable Building AAS degree.

Career Opportunities: Various entry level positions within a construction company with potential for rapid promotion.

It is highly recommended that each student meet with the Construction Management program advisor prior to starting this program. It is the students’ responsibility to understand the requirements for their chosen program of study and to examine each course description for details about the prerequisite classes. The Certificate of Completion in Sustainable Building is designed for students with little or no previous construction experience.

It is recommended to those students seeking an AAS degree to complete one or more general education requirements in the summer.
