Program Description: This is a comprehensive one year Certificate of Completion program designed to train students with very little mechanical or electrical knowledge and prepare them for the fast-growing motorcycle, outdoor power equipment and recreational vehicle service and repair industry. The program will also prepare students for the Equipment and Engine Training Council/Outdoor Power Equipment (EETC/OPE) certifications.
Students will study engine operation theory, electrical, drive train, suspension systems, fuel injection, carburetors, turbo charging and service and maintenance procedures. The program challenges and prepares students to become specialists in the service, repair and tuning of small gasoline engines.
Transfer/Articulation Information: Students who complete the Motorcycle and Outdoor Power Equipment Technology Certificate of Completion may continue on to earn and Associate of Applied Science or Associate of Science Transfer Emphasis. Upon completion of the AAS or AS options students may transfer to UVU to complete their BS in the Technology Management Program or in Integrated Studies.
