Program Description

This certificate provides electrical engineering students industry marketable skills through coursework. In addition, many courses simultaneously articulate to an Electrical Engineering APE thereby encouraging students to complete their APE.

Career Opportunities

There are a number of entry level skills in high demand in the Utah electronics, manufacturing, and aerospace industries. In the absence of adequately skilled candidates, employers are forced to hire and then train new employees on the job. Potential employees already possessing these skills have a significant competitive advantage in the hiring process. This can provide students meaningful work opportunities in industry and competitive wages to pay tuition while working on their engineering degree.

Transfer/Articulation Information

Please refer to the Student Resources section of the SLCC University Transfer webpage.
