Program Description
The Biology Department offers a program leading to an Associate of Pre-Science degree. The required courses in this program will give a student an excellent and broad foundation on which to further their studies at a transfer institution. Upon finishing the requirements for an APS degree in Biology Transfer, and after acceptance into a major program, a student should be able to obtain a bachelor’s degree at a four-year institution with two additional years of study. Not all General Education requirements will have been fulfilled and students will need to complete the remainder of their General Education based on the requirements of the transfer institution.
Career Opportunities
There are numerous biology and life science jobs in the United States.
Transfer/Articulation Information
These degrees are fully transferrable to the University of Utah and with course selection advising to other USHE institutions.
