Humanities courses focus on the study of how people understand and express human experience, and how human experience shapes our understandings of ourselves and the world.  Focusing on the literary, philosophical, artistic, religious and/or linguistic expressions of individuals, past and present, the Humanities explore the underlying quality of cultural products, and what that quality tells us about the values, ideas, and meaning-making practices of individuals and their culture, as well as our own.
