Program Description
The Office Specialist program enables students to develop entry-level skills in the computer/office occupations area. The most up-to-date tools necessary for securing and maintaining employment are emphasized throughout the program. Emphasis is placed on computer concepts, Windows, word processing, business writing & grammar, spreadsheets, and customer service.

Prospective students must have been assessed (TABE) within 90 days prior to enrollment.

  • Reading: 10.0
  • Math: 8.0
  • Total Language: 10.0
  • Keyboarding speed of 30 CWPM (correct words per minute) on a 5 minute timing.  
  • 10 Key speed of 5,000 sph (strokes per hour) on a 5-minute timing with 98% accuracy.
