The Life Sciences comprise the scientific fields involved with the study of living organisms. The goal of a life sciences course is to provide students with an understanding and appreciation of the natural world from a scientific perspective. The fundamental objective of this requirement is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for informed and responsible citizenship. Specifically, students shall demonstrate a reasonable understanding of the scientific process, the unifying principles of the life sciences and the human connection to the natural world.
