Program Description:
The Office Specialist program enables students to develop entry-level skills in the computer/office occupations area. The most up-to-date tools necessary for securing and maintaining employment are emphasized throughout the program. Emphasis is placed on keyboarding skill building, ten-key calculator skills, computer concepts, Windows, Internet, and e-mail. Further emphasis is placed on computer applications including spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, database and basic QuickBooks. Students learn business communication skills, business office procedures, customer service, and life skills training.
