Program Description: This is a comprehensive program designed to train students with very little mechanical or electrical knowledge and prepare them for the fast-growing motorcycle and outdoor power equipment service and repair industry. The program will also prepare students for the EETC/OPE certification.
Students will study engine operation theory, electrical, drive train, suspension systems, fuel injection, carburetors, turbo charging and service and maintenance procedures. The program challenges and prepares students to become specialists in the service, repair and tuning of small gasoline engines.
Career Opportunities: Career opportunities can be found in many areas including:
- competition and race preparation
- construction and maintenance
- factory sales and service
- farming and agriculture
- forestry and logging
- landscaping, lawn and garden
- off-road vehicle sales and service
- recreational vehicle sales and service
