Program Description:
The Clinical Lab Assistant Program, a non-credit training program, will provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to competently perform the duties of a medical laboratory assistant. Clinical Lab Assistants are trained to work in doctors’ offices, hospital laboratories and other outpatient labs as an integral member of the allied health care delivery team.

The curriculum will allow the students to gain competency in cognitive, psychomotor and affective competencies. The program will be offered in a flexible open entry / open exit format.

Instruction will be achieved with a combination of classroom, laboratory, and clinical activities

Upon successful completion of the coursework at a satisfactory rate of 80% or better and receipt of all necessary documentation the student will receive the Certificate of Proficiency.
