HIT 1100 - Medical Terminology for Health Information Technology Credits: 3 A body system approach covering medical word roots, suffixes and prefixes. Emphasis is place on pronunciation through use of the textbook CD, spelling and proper usage of medical terms. Medical abbreviations are also introduced as they relate to Health Information Management.
