NHTL 1020 - Second Semester Nahuatl (LN) Credits: 5 Nahuatl is the native language with the largest number of speakers in Mexico, and is rich in ancestral knowledge, customs, and traditions. This is the second in a series of courses on Modern Huastecan Nahuatl, and focuses on listening, speaking, reading, writing, and culture. Major objective of the first year is to develop functional language ability and cultural competence.
Prerequisite: Completion of NHTL 1010 with a grade of C or better, or equivalent competency as demonstrated through placement process. Recommended Prerequisite: None. Proficiency in Spanish is helpful but not necessary. Semester: Spring
