MATH 2200 - Introduction to Discrete Mathematics

Credits: 3
Fundamentals of logic, set theory, order, relations, functions. Elementary number theory, modular arithmetic. Combinatorics; counting permutations, generating functions, matrix operations. Basic algebraic structures; groups, rings. Discrete probability. Introduction to graph theory, trees, search optimization problems, & Boolean algebra.

Prerequisite: Within the last year, MATH 1220  w/C grade or better or instructor permission
