Radiologic Technology AAS: Full-time

Plan of Study 2019-2020

The following is a plan of requirements to complete this Associate of Applied Science degree in 3 years. Each student’s experience will vary slightly, as this plan does not include transfer work, Advanced Placement (AP), or other institutions’ concurrent enrollment credits. Math and English placement will be based on the student’s appropriate placement scores. If developmental courses are required, they should be taken in the student’s first semester.

NOTE: This plan assumes the student is prepared to take the courses listed. If prerequisites are required, additional semesters may be required to complete this degree.

Meet with the Academic Program Advisor and consult DegreeWorks for specific degree requirements.

Advising Notes

  • *Students have choices to fulfill General Education courses
  • It is highly advised that students take the required general education courses to fulfill the Communication (CM) and Human Relations (HR) designations before applying to the Radiology Program. If a student is unable to do so, these courses need to be completed prior to completion of the program.
  • Radiology classes are held during the day, either 1 to 2 days per week depending on the semester. Clinical education experiences are held during the day, 3 days per week.
  • An evening program is offered every even-numbered year. Classes are held either 1 or 2 nights per week depending on the semester. Students are required to attend 1 day and 2 evening clinical shifts each week per semester throughout the program.
  • Clinical and academic involvement for students may never exceed 40 hours per week.
