Program Description
The Medical Coding and Billing (MC&B) program provides students with the technical skills and knowledge for an entry-level position in a healthcare setting. Once certified students will work as entry-level Medical Coder and/or Biller in a medical office, clinic, or hospital.

MC&B specialists examine how to code diagnoses and procedures performed or identified by a physician. As well as how to process health insurance claims, examine coverage issues, and processes for billing and collections. This training can be used as a step to gain valuable industry-recognized certifications including Certified Professional Coding (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), and/or Certified Medical Coder (CMC).
