Program Description
The Coding Core for the Health Care Professional Certificate prepares people currently working in the health care industry to become a national certified medical coder. The program will cover ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS courses in preparation for the AAPC and/or AHIMA national certification exams.

Program Entry Requirements
Prospective students must have been assessed (TABE) within 90 days prior to enrollment:
- Reading: 10.0
- Math: 8.0
- Total Language: 10.0
- Experience working in a Healthcare related filed.

Required Courses (280 clock hours)
Time to Completion
Time to completion is 2 blocks based on a full-time minimum of 16 hours per week. Less than 15 hours per week will increase time to completion.
