MA 1410 - Practical Fundamentals of Medical Assisting

Credits: 3
This entry level course will focus on the application of routine clinical patient care skills, such as medical and surgical asepsis, OSHA standard compliance, assessing patient vital signs, and assisting the provider in exams. Emergency preparedness and medical office emergencies are also covered.

Prerequisite: MA 1100, MA 1420, and accepted and enrolled into Medical Assistant program
Corequisite: MA 1400
Semester: All
