MA 1400 - Fundamentals of Medical Assisting

Credits: 2
Patient care skills such as medical and surgical asepsis, vital signs, patient assessment. Assisting with: physical examinations, orthopedic medicine, ophthalmology and otolaryngology. Nutrition and Health promotion is discussed. Emergency Preparedness and assisting in medical emergencies such as fire safety, safety plans and community resources as it applies to the medical office.

Prerequisite: Accepted and enrolled into Medical Assistant program
Corequisite: MA 1410
