ENGL 2701 - Introduction to Literary History, Pre-1800

Introduces students to a representative sampling of world literature from ancient times to 1800 in relation to intellectual and historical developments. Exposes students to historically influential literary texts as well as literature that has lived on the margins. It is recommended students complete ENGL 2600 prior to taking this course.
