| HIST 2600 - Native American Voices (SS, DV) Credits: 3This course examines the history and diverse cultures of indigenous peoples in the U.S. from the pre-Columbian period to the present. The focus is on the perspective of the Native Americans as they experienced the imposition of European and American institutions and fought to survive and preserve cultural integrity and tribal sovereignty. It challenges common stereotypes and ethnocentric views.
