Examines multimodal texts to explore how intersectional social constructions of gender are formed through discourse. It focuses on the ways in which textuality shapes and is shaped by intersections of gender with race and class, and how humans have understood and made meaning of gender through imaginative works. We explore ways to interrupt cycles oppression and bring about social change.
