MATH 2120 - Alternative Route to Licensure - Statistics for Secondary Math Teaching Credits: 3 This course explores students’ misconceptions and ways of thinking, technology, and instructional practices to support and assess learning statistics. Secondary teachers need mastery of data representation, study design and sampling, probability, testing claims, drawing conclusions, historical content development, and diverse cultural perspectives to teach Utah Core Standards effectively.
Prerequisite: Complete Math 2100 with a C or better. Semester: Spring Registration Restrictions: Limited to Utah K-12 educators seeking SPED/Secondary Math Endorsement
