MA 2300 - Medical Coding & Insurance Credits: 3 Introduction and practice with the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and International Classification of Disease (ICD-10) coding procedures, HCPCS for optimal reimbursements, as practiced in the medical setting. Course material is presented in a lecture format as well as the presentation and discussion of patient care scenarios to enhance the learning process. The student is also introduced to basics of Health Insurance and Health Insurance claim form.
