Plan of Study

The following is a plan of requirements to complete this Associate of Science degree in 2 years. Each student’s experience will vary slightly, as this plan does not include transfer work, Advanced Placement (AP), or other institutions’ concurrent enrollment credits. Math and English placement will be based on the student’s appropriate placement scores. If developmental courses are required, they should be taken in the student’s first semester.

NOTE: This plan assumes the student is prepared to take the courses listed. If prerequisites are required, additional semesters may be required to complete this degree.

Advising Notes

EN: ENGL 2010 Intermediate College Writing (EN)  is recommended. ENGL 2100 Technical Writing (EN)  writing is also accepted.

SS: One of 4 classes will be accepted; different transfer institutions have different requirements for prerequisites here. Please see specific advising notes for each articulation pathway to determine the appropriate class to take.

LS: BIOL 1610 College Biology I (LS)  and BIOL 1615 College Biology I Lab  are required.

PS: CHEM 1110 Elementary Chemistry  is strongly recommended as it serves as a pre-requisite to BIOL 2420 Human Physiology . CHEM 1210 General Chemistry I  and CHEM 1215 General Chemistry Lab I  will also be accepted. Four credits in Chemistry are required for transfer.

All other general studies are student choice.

Students may take either HLTH 1500 Lifetime Wellness/Fitness  or ACCT 2010 Survey of Financial Accounting . The choice may impact the transfer options. Please see advising notes for each articulation program when determining the correct course to take.

If student deviates from recommended courses, they will need to work with advising to ensure that classes taken will meet requirements for transfer articulation agreements.
