Plan of Study

The following is a plan of requirements to complete this Associate of Pre-Engineering degree in 2 years. Each student’s experience will vary slightly, as this plan does not include transfer work, Advanced Placement (AP), or other institutions’ concurrent enrollment credits. Math and English placement will be based on the student’s appropriate placement scores. If developmental courses are required, they should be taken in the student’s first semester.

NOTE: This plan assumes the student is prepared to take the courses listed. If prerequisites are required, additional semesters may be required to complete this degree.

Meet with the Academic Program Advisor and consult DegreeWorks for specific degree requirements.

Advising Notes

Students who need additional math preparation should consult an academic advisor. It is recommended that students also take CHEM 2320   and CHEM 2325 . This course may be used as a technical elective as part of a 4-year program.

ENGR 2950 Engineering Forum (1 credit hour) is highly recommended for all engineering students.
Well prepared students may substitute MATH 1080 for MATH 1050 / MATH 1060.
MATH 2270 combined with MATH 2280 can substitute for MATH 2250, students should check with their transfer institution before committing to one path over the other.
Where possible students should be advised to take ENGR 1010 the semester prior to MATH 1210.
