Plan of Study 2022-2023
The following is a plan of requirements to complete this Certificate of Completion degree in 2 semesters. Each student’s experience will vary slightly, as this plan does not include transfer work, Advanced Placement (AP), or other institutions’ concurrent enrollment credits. Math and English placement will be based on the student’s appropriate placement scores. If developmental courses are required, they should be taken in the student’s first semester.
NOTE: This plan assumes the student is prepared to take the courses listed. If prerequisites are required, additional semesters may be required to complete this degree.
Meet with the Academic Program Advisor and consult DegreeWorks for specific degree requirements.

Advising Notes
- The program accepts 30 students each semester who move through the program as a group. Classes are scheduled to build on principles presented in previous classes. Classes must be taken in the program as scheduled. Students are required to complete all program requirements in order to meet the objectives and requirements established by the Utah State Board of Pharmacy.
- Students are able to enroll in HS 1100 and PHAR 1010, (both offered every semester) prior to selective admission into the Pharmacy program. These students may be interested in enrolling (fall semesters only) in a two-semester fast-track completion program. (Interest identified on fall admission application).
- In addition to the prescribed coursework, each student is required to complete 200 hours of instructor-assigned clinical rotations in two licensed pharmacy working environments. Completion of the program and accompanying 200 hours of clinical experience prepares students to sit for one of two national certification examinations. Successful passage of one of these exams allows the student to apply to the Utah Department of Professional Licensing (DOPL) for pharmacy technician license (required in Utah).
