Plan of Study 2022-2023

The following is a plan of requirements to complete this Associate of Pre-Engineering degree in 2 years. Each student’s experience will vary slightly, as this plan does not include transfer work, Advanced Placement (AP), or other institutions’ concurrent enrollment credits. Math and English placement will be based on the student’s appropriate placement scores. If developmental courses are required, they should be taken in the student’s first semester.

NOTE: This plan assumes the student is prepared to take the courses listed. If prerequisites are required, additional semesters may be required to complete this degree.

Meet with the Academic Program Advisor and consult DegreeWorks for specific degree requirements.

Advising Notes

*Although only one of these courses is required, both ENGR 2550 – Applied Probability and Statistics and MEEN 2650 – Manufacturing Engineering and Technology are required courses for a 4-year engineering degree at most Utah schools.  If time allows consider taking both courses before transferring. ** Utah State does not currently articulate numerical methods (ENGR 2450) into their ME program – if transferring there, take CSIS 1400.

ENGR 2950 Engineering Forum (1 credit hour) is highly recommended for all engineering students. Well prepared students may substitute MATH 1080 for MATH 1050 / MATH 1060. MATH 2270 combined with MATH 2280 can substitute for MATH 2250, students should check with their transfer institution before committing to one path over the other. Where possible students should be advised to take ENGR 1010 the semester prior to MATH 1210.
