Plan of Study 2022-2023
The following is a plan of requirements to complete this Associate of Applied Science degree. Each student’s experience will vary slightly, as this plan does not include transfer work, Advanced Placement (AP), or other institutions’ concurrent enrollment credits. Math and English placement will be based on the student’s appropriate placement scores. If developmental courses are required, they should be taken in the student’s first semester.
NOTE: This plan assumes the student is prepared to take the courses listed. If prerequisites are required, additional semesters may be required to complete this degree.
Meet with the Academic Program Advisor and consult DegreeWorks for specific degree requirements.
Students should complete the following course to begin the program in the Fall:
First Year
Second Year
Third Year
Advising Notes
- All major SHA course requirements must be taken to complete the apprenticeship core curriculum. Classes are to be taken in the sequence in which they are given. Students must complete each class with a C or higher grade to move on to the next level class. The JATC will schedule the SHA courses. For more information on when the SHA courses will be taught, please contact the JATC.
- It is the students’ responsibility to understand the requirements for their chosen program of study and to examine each course description for details about the prerequisite classes. It is highly recommended that each student meet with the Apprenticeship Program Advisor prior to starting this program. The Program Advisor may be reached in Academic and Career Advising.
- *It is recommended to those students seeking the AAS degree to complete the general education requirements in the summer semesters.
- A Certificate in Stagehand JATC Technology is also available. For more information about this certificate, contact the Apprenticeship Office, Taylorsville Redwood Campus, CT 274, 801-957-4066.
