Plan of Study 2022-2023

The following is a plan of requirements to complete this Associate of Applied Science degree in 2 years. Each student’s experience will vary slightly, as this plan does not include transfer work, Advanced Placement (AP), or other institutions’ concurrent enrollment credits. Math and English placement will be based on the student’s appropriate placement scores. If developmental courses are required, they should be taken in the student’s first semester.

NOTE: This plan assumes the student is prepared to take the courses listed. If prerequisites are required, additional semesters may be required to complete this degree.

• The Mortuary Science Program accepts 25 students every Spring semester. Once accepted, students will complete the program in 4 semesters (Spring, Summer, Fall, Spring). This program requires full-time day attendance.
• The following courses may be completed prior to acceptance into the Mortuary Science Program: HS 2050 Cultural, Legal, and Ethical Issues in Health Care (HR)  or MKTG 1960 Professionalism in Business (HR) ,  ACCT 1250 Small Business Accounting  and MGT 2050 Legal Environment of Business .
• *Please note: a minimum 17 credit hours in general education is required.
• Students must complete both sections of the official National Board Exam to graduate.
