Plan of Study 2019-2020
The following is a plan of requirements to complete this Associate of Applied Science degree in 2 years. Each student’s experience will vary slightly, as this plan does not include transfer work, Advanced Placement (AP), or other institutions’ concurrent enrollment credits. Math and English placement will be based on the student’s appropriate placement scores. If developmental courses are required, they should be taken in the student’s first semester.
NOTE: This plan assumes the student is prepared to take the courses listed. If prerequisites are required, additional semesters may be required to complete this degree.
Meet with the Academic Program Advisor and consult DegreeWorks for specific degree requirements.

Advising Notes
- ACCT 1110 must be completed with a C- or higher before taking ACCT 1120 . ACCT 1120 must be completed with a C- or higher before taking ACCT 2300 . Completion of ACCT 2010 (instead of ACCT 1110 and ACCT 1120 ) requires instructor approval to register for ACCT 2300 .
- The MINIMUM number of credits required to earn an AAS degree is 63. ACCT 2010 , ACCT 2020 , and CSIS 2010 satisfy requirements in both the Business Basics Certificate of Proficiency and the Accounting Essentials Certificate of Proficiency. Students completing ACCT 2010 and CSIS 2010 may need to complete additional courses to meet the minimum number of credits required for an AAS degree. In this case, it is recommended that students complete additional ACCT or other School of Business electives.
- This is a 2-year terminal degree. Some courses are transferable to other institutions. Students should check with the receiving institution to determine credit transferability. The Sample Schedule above is intended to show how this certificate could potentially be completed within two years.
